Cherry Bakewell

Inspired by the original Bakewell Pudding created in 1820 in the Derbyshire town of Bakewell, England.

Over many years of trial and error, I have perfected my own version of this British classic - made with buttery shortbread pastry, crowned with ruby-red cherries, soft almond frangipane, and a generous scattering of flaked almonds.
